This episode of Bluey is called Young, Wild & THREE!!

Updated: Jan 11

When I was asked to help with a Bluey inspired birthday party I couldn’t help but say YES! My own children are obsessed, I’m obsessed so it was only natural I took on this 3 year old's birthday!

Having worked with this family many times in the past, I knew the birthday girl's favorites and we were sure to incorporate these stations into her messy play party!

I love incorporating rice bins into every event. They’re familiar to most kids, very versatile and easy to clean up. So when I explained to mom I would attempt to make the characters out of rice, I was skeptical of my capabilities but they ended up so cute!

Rice was dyed the necessary colors, carefully placed and eyes and a smile were added from paper afterwards.

In addition to the rice, kids were given cupcake tins, candles and scoops to play in any way they wish! i also added Tot Tubes for kids to fill, empty or watch the rice fall. Rice bins are always one of the biggest hits!

Next up!! Fizzy Bluey’s! Birthday girl loves the fizzy stations so of course we added in one of her own! Using Bluey play dough stamps the baking soda was frozen, thawed just right to get a stamp of the characters. Be sure to use parchment paper because that’s the easiest way to transfer each shape over to the bin of baking soda. I left them with kid friendly eye droppers and colored squeeze bottles to ensure lots of fizzy play time! And, incase you didn’t know - baking soda + vinegar = lots of bubbles!!

Another favorite of the birthday girl is the Pour Station! During classes her and her brother would spend the entire time filling cups, bowls, and more with water from the dispensers. They’d mix colors, refill bottles and have a blast! This party was no exception. The dispensers were filled with blue, orange and white glitter water and was ready for a fun play day!

Next was a dry pasta bin! Pasta shapes were hand painted to look like some of the characters on the show. Pasta shaped can be sorted, threaded or played with. Adding in kid friendly tweezers makes play more than play and works on motor skills as well. Pasta bins are one of my favorites because of all the ways kids can play.

The last station that came to the party was a Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle! Using a tuff tray I lines the perimeter with green dyed coconut flakes and in a separate dish in the middle combined cocoa powder, corn starch and water to create a puddle. Mom supplied the characters and the kids had a blast with peppa and friends jumping in muddy puddles!

In addition to all the stations I also supplied the party favors. Party favors are my favorite way to send each child home with a bit of the mess fun. It’s like the bow on the package! The birthday girl chose slime favors and that’s what they got! Blue homemade slime in small jars. Inside each jar was two Bluey themed characters and some glitter to mix in. I also found super cute sticker sets to build a character and Bluey stickers for water bottles, fridges etc.

When I arrived to pick up the materials at the end the birthday girl informed me the pour station was her favorite and she had lots of fun with her family and friends. I was blown away with how quickly the family was able to hose everything off and out and had everything nicely stacked and organized waiting for me.

I cannot wait to work with this family again!

the family hosted the party at their family owned landscape shop which made hosing down and out a breeze
